Associate Professor Jeremy Lim is a medical doctor, triply trained and qualified in surgery, public health and lifestyle medicine. He is widely recognised for championing the role of the gut microbiome in metabolic health, immune function, and biological ageing, establishing microbiome science as a foundational pillar in preventive and personalised medicine.
Trained across Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States, Assoc Prof Lim completed further training at Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Singapore General Hospital. His career spans senior healthcare leadership roles across government, the private sector, and industry, including Singapore’s Ministry of Health, SingHealth (Singapore’s largest healthcare group, where he oversaw research and education), and Oliver Wyman’s Health and Life Sciences practice in Asia, which he founded in 2013.
Assoc Prof Lim has spent over a decade leading efforts to advance microbiome science for Asian populations, building one of the world’s largest multi-ethnic Asian gut microbiome databases and establishing a platform that enables pharmaceutical companies, clinicians, and researchers across more than 200 organisations to develop and validate microbiome-based insights specific to Asian populations, spanning colorectal cancer, metabolic disorders, healthy ageing, and immunotherapy.
At Longevity Clinic Malaysia, Assoc Prof Lim serves as Advisor for Gut Microbiome Health, guiding the integration of diagnostics and science-based interventions to help clients understand their gut health, optimise metabolic and immune function, and support healthy ageing through evidence-based, personalised modalities.
